Decorative film changes the look of the glass without replacing the glass itself. It is the only way to transform large glazed surfaces at a reasonable cost.
Open-plan offices usually contain a great deal of glass, and that creates a twofold problem. The space looks unfinished, and people feel as though they are in a fish tank. In shops and salons the glazed areas go unused, even though they are among the most visible surfaces in the whole place. In private houses, glass doors and partitions can end up looking rather too “corporate”.
Decorative film for glass answers all three cases. It goes onto the existing glass, so there is no need to change the partition, the window or the door. The job can be done in a single day, with no dust and without closing the space for days on end. If the design palls after a few years, or the company rebrands, the film comes off and a different one goes on.
There is one more important point that people rarely think of at the outset: a frosted band on a clear glass partition also works as a warning marker. A spotlessly clean, entirely transparent glass wall in an office is somewhere people will sooner or later walk straight into. A band at eye level removes that risk and looks deliberately designed at the same time.

The most frequently ordered option in offices. One or more horizontal bands in various widths, usually at eye level. Simple, neutral and suited to almost any space.
Ready-made pattern motifs - botanical ornaments, abstract designs, dot and line structures. Ideal where you want something more expressive than a plain band.
Squares, hexagons, grids and linear patterns. These look good in contemporary offices and cafés where the interior is already graphic in character.
A gradual transition from densely frosted to clear. Very useful where you need privacy lower down but want to keep the light and the view higher up.
Letters, shapes, a company logo or a graphic element cut from your artwork. A vector file or a good-quality image is needed so the artwork can be prepared.
Colour accents on glass panels or sections of doors. Often used in nurseries and schools, clinic waiting rooms and cafés.
The main application is glass partitions between meeting rooms and the open-plan area. A band at eye level cuts down distraction, gives seated people privacy and marks the presence of the glass at the same time. In directors' offices a denser pattern is often chosen for the lower part, so the desk cannot be seen from the corridor.
Frosted bands are used along the edges of shop windows to frame the display area, along with cut-out company names and opening-hours notices. In beauty salons a popular solution is a frosted lower panel running the full length of the window - clients cannot be seen from the street, but the daylight stays.
On glazed internal doors, shower enclosures, stairwell windows and glazed terrace doors. In homes, decorative film is often chosen because replacing factory-etched glass would cost several times as much as film on the existing pane.

Decoration is often combined with other functions. If the glass wall faces the sun and the room overheats, the pattern can be paired with solar control film. Often, yes. Frosted patterns, dense bands and most ornaments also break up the view, so the room becomes harder to see into from outside. How much privacy you gain depends on how dense the pattern is: a sparse geometric line hardly obscures the view at all, whereas a fully frosted band at eye level blocks it completely. If privacy is the main aim, we plan the choice alongside frosted or opaque privacy film solutions.
Yes. We cut logos and bespoke patterns from your artwork and apply them to the glass. For this we need a vector file, or at the very least a good-quality image from which artwork can be prepared. Logos and printed graphics on glass are quoted individually, because the price depends on the intricacy of the detail, the size and the number of colours.
In practice a band is most often placed at roughly eye level, that is, around 1.4–1.6 m from the floor, and two bands at different heights are frequently used. That position gives a seated person privacy and at the same time makes the glass visible so nobody walks into it. We choose the exact height on site, taking into account the furniture layout and the way people move through the space.
Once your enquiry reaches us, we establish what the space is like and what effect is needed. During the measuring visit we measure the glass and suggest a few suitable pattern options. We then prepare artwork with exact dimensions so you can see how the pattern will look on your particular glass. We only start work once the artwork has been approved.
Yes. The film sits on the surface of the glass, so it can be taken off and a new one applied in its place. That is exactly why decorative film is such a practical solution for leased premises and rebranding - there is no need to replace the glass or the partition. Removing old film is a separate service from €8/m².
