What this page helps you choose

Window films look much alike, yet they do very different jobs. One reflects heat, another hides a room from view, a third holds broken glass together, and a fourth is purely a design feature. Anyone buying film for the first time usually has no idea how these types differ, and that is entirely normal. That is why the services on this page are organised three ways: by film type, by property type and by the job that needs doing.

If you already know you need, say, frosted film for a bathroom window, go straight to that page. If all you know is that the kitchen is unbearable in the afternoon, start with the guide below. It matches the most common complaints to specific solutions.

We work exclusively on architectural glass: flats, houses, offices, shops, clinics, salons and production premises. We do not work on vehicle glass. Indicative prices for every job are gathered on the prices page, and you can check our coverage in the service area section.

Which window film do I need?

The table below lists the situations people most often come to us with. Find the one closest to your own and follow the link. If your case sits somewhere between two rows, describe it in the form - that is quicker than guessing.

If none of the rows fit
Describe the situation in the form in your own words: which way the windows face, which floor you are on, exactly what bothers you and at what time of day. That is enough for us to recommend a solution. For a detailed comparison of every film type, see our window film types page.

Window films by type

Each film has its own page explaining where it works well, where it does not belong and what to expect. In every case the price covers both the film and the installation, and all prices are excl. VAT.

Solar control film

Cuts solar heat and glare. The first choice for south- and west-facing windows, glazed terraces and roof lights. From €25/m².

Heat rejection film

For rooms where the complaint is squarely about temperature: loft conversions, attic rooms and offices behind glass façades. From €25/m².

Learn more →

Mirror film

Creates a mirror effect from outside in daylight while reflecting away part of the heat. The view out is retained. From €25/m².

Learn more →

Frosted film

Looks like sandblasted glass. Lets daylight through while making the inside of the room impossible to make out. From €25/m².

Learn more →

Blackout privacy film

Complete privacy wherever the view in has to be shut out entirely: bathrooms, ground floors, consulting rooms. From €25/m².

Learn more →

One-way vision film

From the brighter side the glass reads as a mirror; from the darker side it stays clear. For meeting rooms and salon treatment rooms. From €25/m².

Learn more →

Decorative film

Solutions by type of premises

The same film types are used differently in a flat and in a shop. The way the work is organised differs too: in a flat we work during the day, in a shop often before opening or after closing so that trade is not disrupted.

Homes and apartments

Heat on the south side, neighbours and passers-by looking in on the ground floor, faded parquet. We take on single windows too.

Learn more →

Offices

Glare on monitors, overheating behind a glass façade, privacy in meeting rooms and directors' offices.

Learn more →

Shops and storefronts

Protecting stock from fading, window dressing, safety film and the company logo on the glass.

Learn more →

Clinics and salons

Patient and client privacy, frosted treatment-room glazing, discreet solutions in entrance areas and at reception.

Learn more →

Design, logos and printed graphics on glass

These jobs differ from ordinary film installation in that the material is cut or printed to a specific artwork. That is why they cannot be priced per square metre: the cost depends on the complexity of the design, its size and the number of elements.

Logo on glass

Company logo, name or opening hours on entrance doors and shopfronts. Quoted individually.

Learn more →

Glass partitions

Dressing office glass partitions: frosting, manifestation bands for safety, zoning and design. Quoted individually.

Learn more →

Storefront graphics

Full or partial print on shop windows, seasonal dressing and permanent design. Quoted individually.

Learn more →

Installation and removal

Two jobs that often go together. If there is old film on the glass it has to come off first, and only then is the glass ready for new film. Both can be booked in a single visit.

Window film installation

The fitting itself: preparing the glass, cutting to size, applying the film and finishing the edges.

Learn more →

Window film removal

Stripping old, cracked or yellowed film together with any adhesive residue. From €8/m².

Questions about our services

Start with the problem rather than the name of the film. If a room gets too hot, you are looking at solar control film or heat rejection film. If the issue is people looking in, the choice is between frosted, blackout, mirror or one-way vision film, depending on whether you want to keep the view out. If your concern is glass breaking, that is safety film. If the aim is design or a company logo, it is decorative film or printed graphics on glass. Simply describe your situation in the form - we will recommend the best option.

Yes, we do take on single windows. The only thing to bear in mind is our minimum order of €75. In practice that means one small window costs the same as three or four small windows done in a single visit, so most customers find it better value to combine all the windows in one room, or in the whole flat, into one appointment.

Solar control, heat rejection, mirror, frosted, blackout, one-way vision, UV and thermal films start from €25/m². Decorative films with a pattern start from €29/m². Safety films start from €25/m² in the standard thickness, from €35/m² for reinforced grades and from €41/m² for the thickest. Removing old film starts from €8/m². The price covers both the film and the labour, prices are excl. VAT and the minimum order is €75.

In most cases to the inside. There the film is protected from rain, frost, dust and knocks, so it lasts considerably longer. We only fit externally when there is a specific reason to - for example, if the construction of the glazing unit rules out a heat-reflective film on the inside, or if there is no access from indoors.

No. We work exclusively on architectural glass - the windows of flats, houses, offices, shops, clinics and production facilities, along with shopfronts, glass partitions and doors. Tinting vehicle glass is an entirely separate trade with different materials and different requirements, and it is not something we do.

We process enquiries on working days. Once you have filled in the form we call you, talk through an initial quote and then arrange a time for free on-site measuring. For a typical flat, a few days usually pass between the enquiry and the finished job, depending on how quickly we can agree a time and whether the film you have chosen is in stock.
