In a meeting room with transparent walls, people speak more quietly. An employee whose monitor is visible from the corridor rearranges their desk. At the same time, nobody wants to go back to brick walls. The aim is to find the point where the glass still lets light through but no longer shows everything. That is exactly what frosted film does: light passes through, outlines blur, detail disappears.
In practice the solution is chosen according to what the room is for. An open working area is often well served by a band at eye level. A meeting room needs more. HR or a director's office calls for full frosting to the top.
The most frequently ordered solution is a frosted band at roughly 90–160 cm. It covers precisely the zone where faces and screens sit, leaving clear glass above and below.
The second job, no less important, is safety. A perfectly clean, well-polished glass wall is hard to notice, and people walk into it - usually those in the room for the first time, or those moving quickly with a cup in hand. A frosted band at eye level makes the glass visible. That is why offices often fit this band even where privacy is not needed at all.
A single office usually needs several different solutions for different rooms. They can be combined freely.
One or two frosted bands. Keeps the space bright and open, gives seated people partial privacy and makes the glass easy to see. The most economical option, since it covers the smallest area.
The entire glass surface takes on the look of sandblasted glass. Daylight still reaches the room, but from outside only blurred shadows of movement are visible. Suits meeting rooms, HR departments and private offices.

There are two ways to get frosted glass: replace the panels with factory-frosted ones, or apply film to the panels you already have. The second option is almost always the more practical.
Replacing panels means dismantling the partitions, ordering new glass made to size, arranging delivery and installation. It costs considerably more, takes several weeks and turns your office into a building site.

Glass partitions are almost never simply flat glass. There are aluminium profiles, joints between panes, door leaves with handles and locks. We measure every panel separately, because even within a single wall the panes often differ by a few millimetres.
We cut the film with a small gap from the frame. That gap is not carelessness: it allows the film to settle and stops the edge lifting over time. On glazed doors we cut the film around handles and locks.
Before installation we mark the band height with tape and check it with a spirit level along the full length of the room. In an office with many partitions, the most important thing is that the bands line up - a step between adjacent walls is noticed immediately.
Frosting partitions is clean work. We use a soapy water solution, raise no dust and create no debris. The space can be used again the moment we finish.
In larger offices we work zone by zone or outside business hours so as not to disturb meetings. We agree the schedule in advance. For a few days after installation you may see small patches of water under the film - these disappear on their own as the solution dries. In almost every office, partition work is ordered alongside the company logo on glass at the entrance or on the reception desk. If the frosting is part of a wider design scheme, decorative films with a pattern from €29/m² are useful too.
If the office has a glass façade and the rooms overheat in the afternoon, partition work is often combined with solar control films or heat rejection films from €25/m² on the external windows. If there is old film on the glass already, we start by removing it from €8/m².
